The innovative headquarters of Durst Group AG in Bressanone, designed by Studio monovolume architecture + design, rises like a pixelated white wave in the landscape. The sculptural tower, a symbol of corporate growth and innovation, blends in with its surroundings.

In the picturesque landscape of Bressanone, at the entrance to the city, a symbol of innovation and design emerges: the headquarters of Durst Group AG. This imposing building, designed by Studio monovolume architecture + design, stands amidst green slopes and lush woods, representing a connection between the surrounding natural environment and the essence of the company itself.

The constantly expanding Durst Group AG has found its ideal home thanks to the ingenuity and creativity of the South Tyrolean architect Othmar Barth. The challenge was twofold: to expand the existing building while preserving its integrity and to create a new space that would blend harmoniously with the pre-existing structure. In this process, an architectural work was born that looks like rippling pixelated white water, resulting in a marriage of tradition and modernity.

The central element of this construction is a sculptural tower that stands out towards the sky. This element, initially suggested in Barth's original drawings, has been reinterpreted through a contemporary and organic perspective. This sculptural tower is not only a visual landmark, but also represents the company's constant growth and innovation, embodying its aspiration to reach new heights.

The building facade, like a white protective wing, embraces the entire structure and flows from horizontal to vertical in seamless visual harmony. This interplay between shapes and geometries recalls Durst Group AG's status as a leading manufacturer of high-performance printing systems. The 850 pixel-shaped windows that adorn the facade are a tribute to the art of printing and the technological innovation that the company represents.

The link between nature and architecture is also reflected inside the building. The ground floor houses the entrance area which elegantly connects with the existing structure. The offices are developed on the upper floors, while the new building respectfully distinguishes itself from the work of Barth, creating an atmosphere of relaxation for the staff with a roof garden. The abundant natural light that filters through the large windows offers breathtaking views of the majestic surrounding Dolomites, integrating the beauty of the landscape within the work environment.

The harmony between the sculptural exterior and the organic interior is reflected in every detail of the architecture and furnishings. This synergy gives the project a unique soul and an aesthetic coherence that transforms the building into a total work of art.

With this creation, monovolume architecture + design has redefined the standards of corporate architecture, creating a place that not only hosts the activity of Durst Group AG, but shapes its identity. The team's vision and commitment have created a space where art, technology and the natural environment blend harmoniously, inspiring all who gaze upon this architectural marvel.
