Chroma Studio has transformed an office into a welcoming and dynamic home thanks to an explosion of colors and creativity. The intelligent use of soft colors and optical illusions has expanded spaces and improved well-being, demonstrating that even the most compact environments can become welcoming havens through innovative design.

In the modern era, the concept of space is constantly evolving, embracing new possibilities for transformation and re-adaptation. An extraordinary example of this transformation was created by Chroma Studio, which took a linear and neutral office and transformed it into a welcoming and dynamic home through an explosion of well-studied colours, coverings and decorations.

The unique office structure, with a narrow corridor as its central element, was transformed from a limitation into an opportunity through an ingenious design project. The primary objective was to enhance the pre-existing spaces and multiply the perception of them through optical illusions based on targeted colours, mirrors and wallpaper.

Abundant natural lighting enters the space through large ribbon windows, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Chroma Studio's intervention wisely exploited the existing monochromatic and linear structure, transforming it into a chromatic and decorative scenario thanks to a harmonious combination of colors and volumes.

The client, an independent young woman, led the creative direction of the project. Her needs required a practical and welcoming space, capable of adapting to the nuances of everyday life but equally versatile. Analyzing the client's personality, habits and chromatic preferences, Chroma Studio opted for a soft and harmonious color palette, which ranged from relaxing green to warm chestnut brown tones, passing through delicate light blues.

These selected colors have modeled the various rooms of the house, amplifying the space and demonstrating that even the most compact spaces, such as this 50 square meter studio apartment, can be transformed into welcoming and comfortable environments. The green used in the living area, available in two shades, expresses a feeling of regeneration and rebirth, stimulating a deep breath and instilling trust and safety. It also helps reduce blood pressure, helping to create an ideal living area. The color palette also includes white, acting as a neutral canvas that brings balance and serenity to the environment.

The kitchen, defined as the beating heart of the home, is enclosed in a chromatic "cube" that embodies openness and conviviality, creating a dynamic and multifunctional environment. This space becomes a place for meeting and sharing, wrapped in warm dark chestnut wood, a color that stimulates energy and appetite.

The unifying element of the whole house is the "Elisir" wallpaper by Wall&decò, used from the entrance to the kitchen. This wallpaper acts as a common thread, harmoniously connecting the different areas of the house and guiding the viewer's eye through the exploration of the apartment. Its design, resembling a curtain, is perfectly adapted to uneven walls and breaks the strict lines of the narrow corridor, creating the illusion of additional space. This visual trick is especially effective for expanding a hallway space.

In addition to the chromatic choice and the wallpaper, the Chroma Studio designers have introduced a further element that blends harmoniously with the colours, creating a playful three-dimensionality through the play of solids and voids. These are plaster panels with rounded vertical “stems” applied to the walls. These colorful vertical elements create a fascinating play of light and shadow. The same approach has been replicated in the bathroom, using vertical wooden elements with a rectangular section that appear to merge with the plasterboard when settling on the floor.

Chroma Studio: Union of Creativity and Innovation

Chroma Studio is the brainchild of two young designers and artists, Giuseppe Albanese and Elga. These talented professionals have combined their multidisciplinary skills to take on the world of design in a revolutionary way.

Giuseppe Albanese, graduated from the IED in Milan, has extensive experience in interior design and 3D modeling. After working in various studios in Milan, he continued his career as an interior designer and project manager in the United Arab Emirates, bringing an innovative approach to an ever-changing market.

Elga, graduated in scenography in Bari with a specialization in Brera, has embraced a passion for artistic design and artistic direction in the product design sector.

Chroma Studio was born from the union of these two creative and multifaceted minds, focusing on the intelligent use of color and materials. For Chroma Studio, neutral and white spaces represent a blank canvas to transform. Through the skilful use of color, their projects acquire a new dynamic dimension, in which the in-depth study of the power of color becomes an integral part of the initial design phase. Each hue has the power to influence our mood and behavior, therefore the accurate use of color according to function and personality becomes crucial. This is the reason for the name "Chroma" (from the Greek "χρῶμα"), which really means "color".

In conclusion, Chroma Studio's transformation of an office space into a welcoming home represents a prime example of how innovative design can transmute limitations into opportunities and create environments that reflect and embrace the personality and well-being of their inhabitants. Chroma Studio's unique approach to color and material design makes them a creative force to watch in the modern design landscape.
