Ramalhos, one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial ovens, has successfully completed an extensive redevelopment and expansion of its facilities, led by the design of Espaço Objecto, Arquitetura & Design, Lda.
The intervention involved the facade of the showroom, the expansion of the offices and the restructuring of the training spaces. The result is a discreet but coherent external environment, with the use of white silk-screened glass and vertical profiles that control natural light.
The redevelopment and expansion of the facilities of the Ramalhos company, a renowned manufacturer of industrial ovens located in the municipality of Águeda, represent a project of great importance and ambition. Thanks to the design curated by Espaço Objecto, Arquitetura & Design, Lda, it was possible to carry out a complete intervention that involved different aspects of the building, from the facade of the showroom to the expansion of the administrative/office area, up to the renovation of the showroom and spaces dedicated to training.
The final result is characterized by a discreet, yet rigorous and coherent aesthetic. The decision to use white silk-screened glass for the cladding of the facades gives the building a modern and elegant look. The vertical profiles, present on the facades, perform an important function, controlling the entry of natural light into the interior spaces and creating interesting plays of shadows and lights. During the night, the glass panels transform into containers of white light, where the vertical profiles allow the image of the interiors of the offices and terraces to be filtered, creating a suggestive and captivating effect.
The showroom has been completely redesigned and personalized right from the entrance. A new layout of the ovens and the introduction of interactive panels have made the space more innovative and engaging. Every detail has been carefully studied to create a formal composition in perfect harmony with the lighting effects produced by the upper openings on the terraces. This environment thus becomes a privileged place for discussion between professionals, both in the context of training and in the presentation of new production concepts. The purity and uniqueness of the space itself, where people can observe the ovens and their functionality, are a source of inspiration that prevails and stimulates creativity.
The redevelopment and expansion of the Ramalhos facilities, thanks to the design curated by Espaço Objecto, Arquitetura & Design, Lda, represents an example of how architecture can transform and enhance corporate spaces. This intervention has not only improved the external image of the building, giving it a distinctive identity, but has also created a welcoming and stimulating internal environment, conducive to interaction and innovation.
