The S.Roque building is located in the growing area of Aveiro, near the S.Roque Canal. With a clean and technical design, the building integrates harmoniously with its surroundings offering contemporary living experiences.

The S.Roque building designed by the Sónia Cruz – Arquitectura studio stands in an area of the city of Aveiro that is constantly expanding and full of expectations. Its location is marked by its proximity to one of the canals of the Ria de Aveiro – the S.Roque Canal – which represents a local symbol that can be appreciated during walks, sports activities and moments of leisure.
This area, recently urbanized, is characterized by recent interventions unrelated to the local characteristics. In this perspective, the building tries to establish a neutral dialogue with the surrounding environment, expressing a clean and technical language.
Being part of a building area, the building was conditioned by the established urban spaces and parameters, presenting a basement used as a parking lot and 5 floors used as homes. The typologies present include 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and 1 bedroom with 3 bathrooms, responding to common housing programs, aimed at families.
The challenge of the building arose from the need to comply with current regulations and from the desire to give quality to the place. The glass balconies allow you to enjoy the place and its environment, becoming external extensions of the living spaces.
The interiors express a simple but qualified language, neutral with respect to any aesthetic standard and type of life. The materials used come from local suppliers, responding to superior quality standards, creating an overall coherent and harmonious image.
The building and its interiors respond positively to the expectations of contemporary life, enhancing the relationship between the inside and outside of the structure and improving the quality of relations with the surrounding buildings.
