Villa S in Porto Rotondo, Sardinia: An elegant luxury residence between land and sea it has been modified: 2024-04-23 di Benedetto Fiori

In the exclusive setting of Porto Rotondo, one of the most renowned destinations in Sardinia, stands an architectural jewel that challenges the eyes with its beauty: Villa S. This luxury residence, designed by the renowned Alvisi Kirimoto studio, stands majestically on the coast, offering a breathtaking view of the Golfo Aranci.

Immersed in the lush vegetation of Gallura and harmoniously integrated into the hilly landscape, Villa S extends over two hectares of land, offering a unique living experience that combines architecture, nature, tradition and craftsmanship.

From the beginning, the project was conceived to respect and enhance the surrounding environment. The founders of the studio, Massimo Alvisi and Junko Kirimoto, talk about how they were inspired by the light of the place and the majesty of the granite boulders, distinctive elements of the Sardinian landscape. The Villa unfolds following the morphology of the land, with small terraces that welcome the surrounding nature and open towards the sea.

The dialogue with local artisans was fundamental to the realization of the project. Thanks to their craftsmanship, the local granite has become the undisputed protagonist, giving the residence a unique and authentic character.

The Villa consists of three separate buildings, arranged on different levels, and a basement. While keeping the existing profiles unchanged, the interiors have been redesigned to integrate contemporary elements that favor the connection with the outside.

The skilful use of granite also extends to the interiors, creating a harmonious continuity between inside and outside. The generous windows overlooking the sea give lightness to the spaces, while the wooden ceilings and tile roofs keep the traditional charm of the local architecture intact.

The Villa is surrounded by a lush garden, enriched with centuries-old trees and native plants that integrate perfectly with the surrounding landscape. The terraces that branch out towards the sea offer spaces for socializing and relaxation, with swimming pools with organic shapes that recall nature.

In summary, Villa S represents a perfect combination of luxury and respect for the environment. Thanks to its sensitive architecture and its harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape, this residence embodies the excellence of sustainable and quality living.
