In the center of Florence, an attic becomes an elegant open space penthouse thanks to Dstudiod. This space blends the kitchen, dining room, living room and study seamlessly. The large windows open onto panoramic terraces, creating a link between inside and outside.

In the heart of Florence, an interior design jewel arises thanks to the talent and mastery of the Dstudiod architecture firm. This refined abode is a testament to modern open plan design, blending the city's historic roots with a contemporary vision. Located in the southern suburbs of Florence, the penthouse with a timeless aesthetic is an integral part of a complex designed by the architect Leonardo Savioli in the 70s.

Entering the living area reveals an open and airy space, characterized by perfect harmony between the kitchen, dining room, living room and study. This fluidity in the organization of spaces is also reflected on the outside, thanks to the large windows that open onto two spectacular panoramic terraces. This natural connection between inside and outside creates an enveloping living experience, where the distinctions between inside and outside spaces blur in a sinuous play of transparencies.

A close look reveals meticulous attention to detail. The floors transform into a work of art in themselves, with horizontal surfaces that change materials to define different environments and purposes. The kitchen, enlivened by a blue resin floor, stands out with elegance. The passageways between spaces move seamlessly, creating a harmonious flow that welcomes residents and guests in a warm embrace.

Each element has been custom designed, a tribute to the fusion of functionality and style. The furnishings, specially designed to adapt to the context and customer needs, convey a feeling of cohesion and harmony. But it is on the outside that the penthouse reveals further surprises. The northern terrace has been completely renovated, with the addition of a "teak" wooden floor mounted on mobile platforms. The parapet has been transformed into a wooden seat that embraces the entire perimeter, providing a further element of design and comfort. Two mighty corten vases, placed at the ends of the seat, create a scenic and flexible closure, ready to welcome different activities.

An ode to contemporary luxury manifests itself in the bathroom, a unique environment that blends design and functionality. Here, toilet, shower and a Japanese-style bathtub blend in perfect harmony. This tub, with twice the capacity of a traditional bathtub, required reinforcing the existing floor. A choice dictated by the client's passion for Japanese culture, transforming the bathroom into a functional and refined work of art, the beating heart of the home.

While the penthouse embraces modern craftsmanship, the second floor – the sixth floor of the building – offers a unique space for contemplation. Originally a small storage room, it has been transformed into a square reflection nook, framed by windows on three sides. The spectacular view of the Fiesole hills motivated the creation of an internal wooden staircase, connecting this space with the study area below. A wall bookcase emphasizes the harmonious transition between these spaces, creating a marriage between reflection and inspiration.

Dstudiod: The Art of Modern Architecture

Founded in 2007 by three visionary architects – Cristina Amenta, Simona Bruzzi and Mara Pasquini – Dstudiod is a multidisciplinary architecture studio with offices in Florence and Bologna. The burning interest in interior design has driven the studio towards specialization in the contract and retail sectors. Projects of various nature, such as spas, luxury residences and hotels, have been accompanied by a particular attention to detail, reflecting the dedication and passion of the studio.

Dstudiod's evolution is evident in the journey of each of the founders. Cristina Amenta has dedicated herself to the planning of cultural events and the creation of inclusive urban spaces. Simona Bruzzi continues to follow the path of contract and retail, collaborating with renowned manufacturers and brands. Mara Pasquini, on the other hand, immersed herself in Public Relations and Publications, always keeping her love for architecture and interior design alive.

The Florentine penthouse by Dstudiod represents a meeting between past and future, between tradition and innovation. This living space is more than a dwelling, it is a sensory experience, an inhabitable work of art that embodies Dstudiod's vision and talent for creating environments that tell stories and inspire the soul.
