A new generation mineral-looking material: HI-MACS® in the Volcanics finish was used for the spectacular "Attimi" counter, the new casual restaurant of starred chef Heinz Beck in City Life, Milan.

"You do not remember the days, you remember the moments", Cesare Pavese wrote, and around his words was recently developed by the architect Fabio Novembre the interior design for "Attimi by Heinz Beck", dining bistrot designed for every moment - pardon, moment - of the day, from breakfast to dinner.

At City Life, in the heart of the new Milan, Attimi offers real gourmet experiences designed by Heinz Beck, a German chef awarded with three Michelin stars, and has already become a point of reference for Milanese food and wine. The restaurant was created thanks to a collaboration between Beck & Maltese Consulting and Chef Express (Cremonini Group).

The casual restaurant, a forest of chairs, sofas, stools and armchairs with round tables, squares, tables and counters, is built around columns that ideally separate the environment into areas: from the Cocktail to the Dining, Aperitif and Bistrot. The furnishings are told through a wide palette of neutral colors, mostly gray, with some discontinuous insertion of bright colors. In this context, the heart of the environment is certainly the large showcase counter that, although it seems to be made of mineral agglomerate or quartz, is actually in solid surface HI-MACS in its characteristic Frosty finish, from the Volcanics collection.

Made of minerals, natural pigments and acrylic, HI-MACS® unlike stone can be thermoformed in any shape, can be cut in the same way as wood and can be worked in such a way as to eliminate signs of junction to the eye and any imperfections or damage occurred over time. HI-MACS® also has no pores on the surface, so it is easy to clean and resistant to dirt and bacteria, in short, perfect for direct contact with food and people. The irregular texture of the Volcanics colors, part of a catalog of about one hundred total finishes, replicates that of the mineral agglomerates and of the grits, giving a natural look to the surface and deceiving the look.

The counter, as seen inside the wall, is spread over three levels folded one on top of the other and is surmounted by as many overhangs that push the large bright logo of the restaurant outwards, in a play of volumes and perspectives much scenic. An imposing solution with urban style, which recalls the design of Piazza Tre Torri, the architectural and shopping center of the "New Milan".

In presenting his latest work, the architect November reiterates: "I believe that the non-coincidental etymological coincidence between the present as time and the present as a gift is a starting condition for any project research. Consider the moments here, not as fleeting moments of life, but intense experiences that we must grasp and that remain impressed in the mind. "

Fabio Novembre, with great wisdom, has created a meeting place with an unmistakable style, perfect to enjoy at the same time a succession of moments of culinary pleasure, and very short moments, "just a coffee time". An environment open to all, very democratic, but at the same time refined and refined. A place for a moment of conviviality, a moment of relaxation, a moment of pleasure and why not, a moment of design ... but this, only with HI-MACS®.
