Neró Spa - New Experience of Montegrotto Terme (PD) offers one new wellness experiences merging spa treatments, beauty treatments, ayurvedic medicine and fitness. A project that combines spas, territory and art.
At the Prehistoric Baths of Montegrotto Terme, a few kilometers from Padua and Venice, Neró Spa New Experience has opened its doors to the public, waiting for theofficial inauguration which will take place from the 24 to the 27 October 2019 with a great event that for 4 days will host meetings, readings and music dedicated to health and wellness.
The new SPA, designed by Studio Apostoli, reality of international renown in the "Wellness" sector, was born on the noble floor of the building that overlooks the secular inner park, from which the vapors of the panoramic thermal pools open until midnight rise.
This new environment of 1200 sqm, adds to the two outdoor thermal pools and the two indoor pools, equipped with 56 whirlpools and 6 cervical cascades, for a total water course of over 500 sqm.
A Multifunctional, holistic and avant-garde SPA, conceived as a work of art and at the same time an expression of the history of the place and the nature of a territory that for millennia knows and values the therapeutic qualities of its waters and that becomes a harmonious union between spas, territory and art.
The holistic confluence of thermal cures, which exploit the properties of the salsobromoiodic waters and of the Ripe Natural Mud DOC of the thermal basin of Abano and Montegrotto Terme, beauty treatments, exclusive rituals with products of wild phytocosmetics strictly made in Italy, Ayurvedic medicine to which it is dedicated an entire area, Private Spa and fitness offer make Neró Spa an absolute novelty in the wellness panorama in Italy.
From the architectural point of view, the predominant use of glass offers guests the feeling of being immersed in the landscape of the Euganean Hills park, while natural materials such as wood, declined in design elements, are in continuous dialogue with the environment and territory. Water acts as a leitmotif for a global wellness approach; on the other hand the word "neró" in ancient Greek means drinking water, which nourishes and hydrates.
All the equipment emerges from a large basin of shaped water, traversed around its entire perimeter by a highly suggestive LED immersion lighting system. To feed the basin a vertical wall of water was created, which is located right at the entrance to the SPA.
The equipment that characterizes Neró SPA is numerous, all revisited by the wise "pencil" of the Apostles. There Finnish sauna it is completely glazed and furnished with benches made of cedar wood that give the room a delicate fragrance. On special occasions it hosts the rituals of prestigious Aufgussmeister.
Il Turkish bath echoes the finishes present in the SPA with floor covering, walls, ceiling and benches heated in ecomalta, specifically treated in a natural way.
The hammam, completely covered in green Guatemala marble, it is characterized by the large glass front wall.
La Salt cabin, with a cylindrical shape, presents itself with floor, walls, ceiling and seats completely covered in salt, according to the Baltic method and is characterized by the backlit wall in pink salt tiles.
We then find a series of showcases with Cold Fog, Tropical Rain, Finnish bucket e Icefall. Another element, the Kneipp bounded by a LED lighting system, it is composed of 3 circular elements with cold and hot water. The saline bath shaped in eps and covered in ecomalta, allows guests to float thanks to the high salt content.
But the absolute novelties are two: the Temazcal and Kotatsu. The Temazcal is a particular form of spherical cap with ancient origins, typical of the pre-Columbian South American civilizations, at whose center there is an arm that becomes the point of connection between body and spirit. Used to regain wellbeing and health, it is embellished with seats in cedar wood with a particular shape that warms and perfumes the environment.
Kotatsu is instead typical of the Japanese cultural tradition. Located in the Relax room, it is composed of a circular bench and a central table, from which it is possible to taste herbal teas and infusions, while keeping the legs in the low central basin.
In the wellness center there are also 5 massage cabins, 2 facial stations, 2 hand stations, 3 ayurveda cabins.
Then we find the exclusive Private Spa for couple rituals with the modern Sasha, cabin that includes sauna, steam bath and emotional shower and the innovative tap Aqualite, designed by the same Apostles for Jacuzzi and Newform. Complete the Private Spa with a hot tub.
The wide choice of spa treatments, mud treatments and inhalations is enriched by Ayurvedic experiences, including abhyanga, shirodara, swedana, udvartana massages, and a new line of five rituals signed by the Prehistoric Baths, with personalized itineraries.
Neró Spa New Experience is inspired by 3 essential principles, linked together by water, which combines the 3 treatment zones:
- spas, dominated by water and vapors on which the architectural elements of the wellness area and SPA fluctuate;
- territory, which is found in the materials used in the ayurveda sensory area in the idea of creating a space in which oriental philosophies and relaxation areas converge to reconnect soul and nature, and in the central basin of the Spa with a large waterfall, which refers to the sacred lake that was present in this place in prehistory;
- art, which is expressed in the intense theatrical dimension of the wellness center and in the central areas of conjunction between the spa area and the ayurveda area, where the beauty area will be located.
Finally a gallery: the Neró Art Gallery will mark the passage from one area to another; going along it you can admire precious works of art.
The architect Apostoli describes the project as follows: "It was a great opportunity to express new concepts of wellness. From over 20 years I try to push towards more spiritual atmospheres but at the same time linking this world to the concreteness of the materials and of the millenary tradition of the territory. With the client it was found an extraordinary headline and the result was exceptional for consistency with the original idea, the harmonization of the space of the territory and, larger, of the location ".
