Bathrooms inspired by great people who have made history, where each set becomes a story in which the excellences of Italian Style stand out.
Famous Bathrooms is the title of the thematic exhibition of cersaie 2019, the international exhibition of ceramics for architecture and bathroom furnishings, staged a Bologna from the 23 to the 27 September.
Set up inside the Pavilion 30 of the Fair, the exhibition, with its transversal vocation both in terms of type of products and exhibition mood, further enriches the cultural offer of Cersaie and reaches this year its sixth edition, also marking a new course within the same format.
The two curators, Angelo Dall'Aglio e Davide Vercelli, chose a new exhibition model, halfway between the art gallery - for which each set will have a few selected and well-exhibited pieces - and the classic fair. Compared to previous editions, this year each company will be assigned an autonomous space, well recognizable and personalized with its own logo.
Entering into the heart of the exhibition, Famous Bathrooms' focus will be on the free interpretation of bathroom environments inspired by characters who made history: from the Beatles to Sigmund Freud, from Coco Chanel to Piet Mondrian, from Le Corbusier to Maria Callas.
Starting from the assumption that the bathroom is the realm of wellness, to furnish and personalize, as well as the environment closest to the Cersaie product sectors, Famous Bathrooms will present a series of bathrooms linked to many names of fascinating figures that have distinguished in various fields (art, culture, science, music, cinema, etc.) from the classical to the present.
The result will be ironic, fun, irreverent and, of course, will intrigue visitors to the fair. And there will also be many proposals from which to be inspired. The focus of the event will be companies and their products of high design, quality and timeless.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Philippe Daverio. Visitors to Famous Bathrooms will be welcomed in a suggestive space, in which each setting becomes an intimate place in its own right, an exciting story in which the excellences and innovations of Italian Style stand out and more.
In the central area instead there will be a space dedicated to the talks in the program and a lounge area where meetings, debates, awards and wine tastings will be held. As for the past edition the collaboration with Bologna Design Week is renewed: in the city center, in the Quadrivio of Galleria Cavour there will be a "portal" that will recall the exhibition.
Strong of the success reported in the five previous appointments - CerSea in the 2014, CerStile in the 2015, CerSail Italian Style Concept in the 2016, Milleluci in 2017, The Sound of Design Italian Style Contract in the 2018 - with a total of 44.7000 visitors and 283 participating companies - the thematic exhibition of Cersaie 2019 connects a selection of high profile companies with an international audience of buyers, as well as professionals constantly looking for new creative ideas.
