Milan Design Week 2023 is upon us and Platek, a company specializing in outdoor lighting, could not miss the appointment. In fact, the company presents "Lights of Nature", the world of outdoor lighting, at the professional space in Corso Monforte 7 in Milan.
On this occasion, the latest novelties by designers Sara Moroni, Michel Charlot, Christian Flindt and Marcello Ziliani will be presented, who will be available to guests to talk about their projects and ideas.
But that's not all, a few meters away, in Piazzetta Giordano 4, there will be a temporary exhibition dedicated to the Niente Dorma collection, designed by Jan Van Lierde, who also oversaw the setting up of the space.
Among the previews this year, there are two particularly interesting lamps: Balina by Sara Moroni and Ripple by Jan Van Lierde.
Whale is a modern lamp, with perfect and harmonious shapes, which gracefully and elegantly illuminates outdoor spaces. The project investigates the relationship between light, matter and space, and becomes a precious object thanks to the small dimensions of the diffuser, which enhance what is happening inside.
Ripple is a lamp from the Niente Dorma collection, a project that has developed over several years and which began last year with Dot, leading to the catalog of the same name, born from the collaboration with Jan Van Lierde. Ripple represents the light outdoors and its evocative, abstract and dreamy power.
In short, Platek presents us with a world of lights and design, perfect for illuminating outdoor spaces in an elegant and functional way.
