On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2023, BD Barcelona joins Peres Gallery to celebrate its 50-year milestone.
After 50 years, the Spanish firm that manufactures and markets furniture and other objects with total creative freedom, has announced a new group of young creatives to lead the brand into the future. A special retrospective celebrates this historic milestone by showcasing the best of 50 years of design by Salvador Dalì, Ettore Sottsass, Pepe Cortés, Oscar Tusquets and many other colleagues, together with some never-developed prototypes and unobtainable pieces.
The strong connection that binds Peres Projects to design is one that is wide-ranging and the desire to increase the presence of avant-garde design within the wider art world has prompted the gallery to launch a limited edition project, Functional Art. With this new collaboration with BD Barcelona, a new series of works by Canadian artist Beth Letain will open a visual dialogue on colors and geometric compositions to bring new light into the spaces of Palazzo Belgioioso.
