After the success of the first edition held during MDW22, Prada and Formafantasma come together for the annual symposium which investigates the complex relationship between environment and design. This year, Prada Frames will be held in Hong Kong on March 21 and 22 and in Milan on April 17, 18 and 19.

The theme is "Materials in Flux" and examines the concept of waste as a material in transformation. With a shared ecological gaze and a transdisciplinary approach, the symposium will investigate the dynamics that govern waste infrastructures and their value systems, aiming to decode the complex relationship between matter and ecosystems.

Prada Frames once again brings together designers, architects, curators, scientists, anthropologists, manufacturers, activists, legal and economic experts. The resulting collective reflection combines innovative lines of thought to analyse, contextualize and define a new reality.

The Italian event, curated by Formafantasma, will take place in the context of Milan Design Week 2023 and will include contributions from Tim Ingold, Elizabeth Povinelli, Beatriz Colomina, Mark Wigley, Sophie Chao, Veena Sahajwalla and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
