Iglu Collection, the new sunbed designed by Ramón Esteve for Vondom, is inspired by the iconic geodesic domes of the mid-XNUMXth century designed by Fuller. This innovative design combines functionality and aesthetics, creating a unique sleeping experience.

The geometric shapes of the Iglu are decisively manifested on the outside, recalling the futuristic appearance of Fuller's domes. However, once you enter, you find yourself immersed in a softer and more welcoming environment, thanks to the more sinuous lines and shapes that characterize the interior of the cot. It is an interesting contrast that gives a sense of harmony and tranquility.

The structure of the dome is made up of triangles connected to each other by a light fabric. This particular fabric creates a fascinating play of light and shadow inside the Iglu, offering a feeling of intimacy and protection. It's like finding yourself in a private retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

The Iglu is designed as a place of rest and relaxation for the user. It invites you to switch off, enjoy a break and completely relax. Ramón Esteve's design with attention to the smallest details fits perfectly with this philosophy. The Spanish architect and designer founded his studio in 1991, with the idea that architecture and design are complementary disciplines. For him, these two art forms merge into a single concept, both guided by the same laws and design principles.

His transversal vision of architecture and design allows him to develop complete environments, in which both disciplines influence each other. Design acts upon architecture, creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, while architecture shapes design, providing a meaningful and integrated context. This balanced approach recognizes the importance and complexity of both disciplines.

With the Iglu Collection, Ramón Esteve has created a product that reflects his vision and design philosophy. A cot that goes beyond its primary function, becoming a work of art in itself. The Iglu is an invitation to relax, immerse yourself in an oasis of tranquility and fully enjoy the present moment.
