In an idyllic landscape next to the Aveiro estuary, a holiday home that blends into the surrounding natural beauty. The residence, distributed over two floors, offers breathtaking views and integrates a storage space for nautical equipment.

In the enchanting setting of the Aveiro estuary and the adjacent forest, NU.MA architects have designed a holiday home that embraces the surrounding natural beauty and offers breathtaking views over an untouched landscape. This residence is not just a simple refuge, but a marriage between architectural art and nature, a work that skilfully blends functionality and aesthetics.

The idea of creating a structure that blends harmoniously with the territory is the basis of this visionary project. The client had a clear desire: to experience the pristine nature of the Aveiro estuary, without sacrificing comfort and practicality. In addition, he wanted a space dedicated to storing his nautical equipment, a passion that accompanies him during his holidays.

The main objective of the project was to create a building that was visually permeable and functional at the same time. From here, the idea of a two-story residence emerged, which takes advantage of the morphological peculiarities of the surrounding land. The challenge of integrating a steep drop was masterfully addressed: the house was positioned to blend in with its surroundings, concealing the drop and offering easy access to both the main floor and basement.

The interior of the house has been divided in a functional and rational way. On the ground floor are the social spaces, such as the living room, dining room and kitchen, designed to encourage interaction and sharing. This floor has been designed to fully enjoy the panoramic views, with large windows that act as frames for the surrounding landscape. The technical and storage area was located on the -1 floor, ideal for housing nautical equipment and less used objects.

What makes this project truly extraordinary is its ability to dialogue with nature in a harmonious way. The modern architecture of the building blends with the surrounding natural beauty, creating an atmosphere of continuity between inside and outside. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the interior design to the orientation of the windows, all aiming to capture the essence of the landscape.

Ultimately, this holiday home is not just a resting place, but a declaration of love towards nature and architectural art. The balance between the client's needs, attention to detail and the fusion of functionality and aesthetics has given life to a masterpiece that inspires and invites discovery. This home embodies the idea that man can coexist in harmony with the environment, thus creating a unique and unforgettable life experience.
