The renovation of the rooms of the AZORIS ROYAL GARDEN HOTEL, designed by box: arquitectos associados, is inspired by the surrounding Japanese garden and the tatami as the main element. The use of natural materials and the exploration of different types of spaces give diversity and harmony to the rooms.

The AZORIS ROYAL GARDEN HOTEL, designed by box: arquitectos associados, has undergone a renovation of its rooms which is based on two notable pre-existing principles. The building is characterized by a strong connection with the Japanese garden that surrounds it, creating a traditional central garden environment. The architecture that gave shape to the project was pragmatic, highly organized and followed a reticular pattern of regular dimensions.

The tatami, a traditional Japanese element, was chosen as the main source of inspiration for the renovation. Not only for its size, but also for its regular shape, the tatami has become the "leitmotif" for the lexicon used in rethinking the scale and proportion of the rooms' spaces.

The use of natural materials was a coherent choice with the interpretation of the environment generated by the garden. Stone, steel and wood recreate the element of the room in a unifying context of the building, linking the past, the present and the idea of a future development.

During the renovation, different typologies of similar spaces were explored, creating an interesting relationship between the variants of the housing units and providing diversity in the modulation of the environments.

The objective of this renovation project is to respect and enhance the pre-existing principles that define the AZORIS ROYAL GARDEN HOTEL. The end result will be an environment where design and functionality blend in harmony, offering guests a unique and engaging experience.

With the use of tatami as a guiding element and the use of natural materials, the project aims to create an environment that represents the culture and beauty of the Japanese garden, offering guests a break from the rush of everyday life. The variety in the types of spaces will ensure that each room has its own identity and distinctive character, guaranteeing a personalized experience for each guest.

The renovation of the rooms at the AZORIS ROYAL GARDEN HOTEL is an example of how architecture can adapt and integrate harmoniously with the surrounding environment, enhancing the history and culture of the place. It will be interesting to see how the project develops and how the new room design will offer a pleasant experience to hotel guests.
