In the 60s Mr Dino Gavina with the help of the small producer Arturo Eisenkeil, originally from Merano, began the conception and creation of lamps with a surprising and innovative design.
In the following years new techniques born in the USA will be studied in depth, using brilliant minds Castiglioni and Scarpa: the production of lamps using the cocoon technique (a resin sprayed on a metal structure) will lead to the creation of very important pieces of furniture such as the Taraxacum or the Ghost.

The name that this brand chooses testifies to the inspiration behind the productions: Flos is a Latin word, whose primary meaning is "flower" and guarantees the continuous research by its creators of avant-garde shapes but often linked to nature.
