Description

The iconic Taccia lamp is now available with a PMMA (plastic material) diffuser for greater resistance and lightness. At the origin of the project in 1958, Taccia was made of transparent plastic, then the idea was abandoned due to the deformations caused by the heat emitted by the light bulb. This is how Flos produced it in 1962 with a famous blown glass bowl. Today, thanks to the new LED lighting, it is possible to choose the Taccia lamp in a version faithful to the original concept. Designed by the Castiglioni brothers, the Taccia lamp is one of the great classics in terms of lighting. It came out of the Flos ateliers in 1962 and is reminiscent of a large projector. Taccia celebrates the industrial design dear to our two Italian designers. This lamp is composed of a striated aluminum base on which there is a deep transparent plastic bell. A painted aluminum disc covers the bell and acts as a reflecting screen for the bulb hidden in the body of the lamp. Taccia diffuses high quality indirect light that can be adjusted from top to bottom. True icon of design, the aesthetic qualities of Taccia endure: resting on a piece of furniture or even on the floor, it gives a truly avant-garde loft style. Achille Castiglioni said of Taccia in 1970 that he represented "the Mercedes of lamps, a symbol of success: perhaps because it recalls a classic column". Adjustable diffuser - Indirect and reflected light - Integrated LED source (not replaceable): 1 COB LED 2700K 2068 LM CRI 93 - 28W - Dimmer
