The Brasilia radiator by Caleido, designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini, won the Green Good Design Award 2023 in the Green Product category. The award recognizes its characteristics of sustainability and innovative design. Brasilia is mainly made of recyclable aluminum and stands out for its aesthetically appealing shape.

The Brasilia radiator produced by Caleido and designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini received the prestigious international Green Good Design Award 2023. This recognition places it among the new "green projects" awarded in the Green Product category, thanks to its sustainability characteristics in a context international excellence.

The Green Good Design Award is one of the world's oldest, most innovative and visionary awards for new product design. Founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, the idea for the Good Design Awards was born from the collaboration between an art museum and a wholesale merchandising center, with the aim of presenting the best examples of design modern for home decor.

The special Green edition of Good Design, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, highlights the most important international innovations in products, buildings and construction and planning projects that promote sustainable design that respects high environmental standards.

This year's award-winning products and buildings are focused on reducing negative impacts on the environment, health and user comfort, improving building performance and offering sustainable alternatives for everyday use. The fundamental goals of sustainability include reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources, minimizing waste, and creating healthy, productive environments that do not compromise the needs of future generations.

In this context, the new Brasilia radiator by Caleido received the award for its ability to combine aesthetics and technology in a balanced way. Caleido, an Italian company specializing in radiators and towel warmers, has been an ambassador of Made in Italy in the world since 1993. The Brasilia radiator, designed in collaboration with Massimo Iosa Ghini, is mainly made of aluminium, a recyclable material at the end of its life useful.

Brasilia stands out in the living space thanks to its aesthetically appealing shape, which should be exhibited rather than hidden. Its name itself is a tribute to the famous modern architect Oscar Niemeyer, known for the use of dynamic shapes and sculptural curves in his buildings.

According to Iosa Ghini, the Brasilia radiator is not just a product, but a piece of architecture that fully represents the concept of "sustainable but beautiful". Its sculptural shape creates a continuous dialogue with light, thanks to the alternating extruded aluminum profiles that create a play of light and shadow.

Danilo Rossetti, CEO and co-founder of Caleido, proudly comments on the awarding of this award to Caleido, underlining that they have always worked to create radiators that add value and beauty to living environments, while guaranteeing excellent optimization of energy resources . With the anniversary of the company's 30 years of activity, this award confirms the path taken so far and indicates the direction in which the future is heading, aiming at energy independence and continuous technological improvement.

The Brasilia radiator also offers a series of additional features, such as an open bar towel holder accessory and a vertical coat hook, integrated into the structure itself. These characteristics make it a multifunctional complement, capable of creating a perfect symbiosis between decoration and functionality, enhancing the space and environment in which it is installed.

The Green Good Design Award 2023 awarded to Massimo Iosa Ghini and Caleido for the Brasilia radiator represents an important recognition in the field of sustainable design. It underlines the company's commitment to creating aesthetically pleasing and functional products that contribute to the reduction of environmental impact and promote a sustainable lifestyle.

This award not only makes both Massimo Iosa Ghini and Caleido proud, but also represents an opportunity to celebrate the successes achieved in the field of sustainable design and innovation. It shows how it is possible to combine aesthetics and functionality in ecological products, which contribute to a greener and more aware future.

The Brasilia radiator by Caleido, thanks to its environmentally conscious design and its fascinating design, establishes itself as an example of excellence in the field of sustainable products. The Green Good Design Award 2023 is a well-deserved recognition for the commitment of Massimo Iosa Ghini and Caleido in promoting environmentally friendly design and oriented towards a more sustainable future.
