Mario Alessiani It presents his latest creation: RJR a stackable chair in wood designed for Slow / d.
The project comes within the cooperation with the web platform Slow / d, a community where designers, artisans, big companies, associations and institutions can meet to create new products together, helping them to find new markets. Slow / d speaks of a revolution based on a system of production "peer to peer", focused on the end customer, the territory and the know-how of its craftsmen.
Energy optimized to a minimum to manage logistics of transport and shipping, with a real reduction in distribution costs. The idea, specifically, is to create the same project and making such reproducible by different companies craft spread throughout Italy, in a sort of chain sustainable for humans and the environment, zero km.
Mario Alessiani think so to a wooden chair, with a design that can be played by any carpenter. From here the substantial simplicity of the lines, auctions and floors, linked to the use of conventional carpentry tools, which, however, is added the research of a technical feature: a twist, obtained with the rotation of the backrest, slightly reclining. In addition, he thought at any time of its use, when stacked RJR creates a geometric pattern.
The chair currently furnishes the exhibition spaces of the Pavilion of Civil Society to 'Expo in Milan.
One of the most interesting aspects of the project is that all versions can be made not only then ordered the artisans involved but you can also download the open source platform of Slow / d.
