NIPS is simultaneously the uselessness of the useful and the usefulness of the useless in a kind of juxtaposition that transforms the Taoist salt dough and dry bread in bowls and vases with simple shapes and natural surfaces. NIPS forces us to reflect on the impossibility of giving a full and truthful definition to what we believe to be useful or useless, whether it is the ephemeral play of a child or the hard work of a baker, reduced to crumbs at the end of the day.
