Japanese Suppose Design Office designed a residential building, Kodaira-shi, in Tokyo with a type of tent affixed to the residential structure. The architectural concept of the Kodaira-shi residence is that the residential structure is half covered by a hexagonal-shaped tarpaulin to blur the barrier between inside and outside, thus creating a form of privacy for residents who want to enjoy their garden which is located at street level.
