The new Rebecca Cafe, located in the Khamovniki district of Moscow within a modern residential complex, offers an atmosphere that recalls that of the traditional Parisian cafes opened by the Jewish community. Although the interior design by Bureau ARCHPOINT reflects French charm, the place's name, Rebecca, has Jewish origins.

Celebrity chef Grigory Chunikhin, known for his projects Lino Bistro and Cutfish, is in charge of the kitchen at Rebecca Cafe. The brasserie invites its guests to enjoy a coffee and cake in the morning and a delicious dinner accompanied by a glass of wine in a cozy and relaxing environment. The menu does not refer to a specific national cuisine but has only slight influences, such as the presence of French baguettes or the traditional Jewish challah bread, which perfectly match each course.

As soon as you enter the room, you expect a minimalist atmosphere characterized by glossy surfaces, but instead you find yourself immersed in a surprisingly welcoming environment, between high ceilings and concrete walls. The Archpoint architectural studio worked on architectural and design solutions that harmoniously combine motifs of French bakeries and minimalism in decor.

The walls of the café are covered with decorative plaster whose color matches that of the floor and ceiling. The welcoming environment is created thanks to the use of natural materials for the furnishings and decorations. The bar counter is in imitation wood while the top is in natural white marble. All the tables are made of wood to a design by the architects, as are the frames of the mirrors on the walls and the wardrobe with glass doors at the entrance. Potted plants and a large tree branch hanging from the ceiling in one corner create an association with life and freshness.

The chairs and armchairs restored in vintage style, of different shapes and types, give the living room a particular charm of domestic comfort. Guests can choose between two classic seating options: chairs at the tables or a long soft light gray sofa along the wall. These two areas are compositionally separated by a large wooden cabinet-station for crockery. The wine glasses are arranged on shelves and on the top, reflecting the light and giving the room a special elegance.

The great pride of the brasserie is its in-house bakery. The aroma of fresh pastries and coffee draws residents and passers-by to enter. The bakery theme in the decor is reflected in the crusty wood accents and artwork featuring a girl, glass of wine and crusty baguette.

The architects decided to separate the kitchen from the living room with a glass wall, so customers can follow the path of a fresh croissant to their table. During the day, light enters the brasserie through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, and in the evening, a more intimate atmosphere is created – the lighting accentuates the tables, under which the food and wine in clinking glasses acquire a particularly rich.

Rebecca has the feel of a European brasserie combining a bakery with a bar and restaurant. This is a trendy and democratic place that warmly welcomes customers for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A guest should come here for the pleasant atmosphere of a trendy Parisian café with history, offering an exquisite menu, delicious drinks and fragrant pastries.
