Description

Designed in the 1987 by Cini Boeri, the Ghost armchair has become a classic of contemporary design exhibited in the most prestigious museums in the world. True technical success, the Ghost armchair is made of a single element of curved glass of a thin thickness (only of 12 mm). The glass armchair is cut and folded like a giant origami. Combining artisanal know-how of excellence with innovative technology, Ghost shows to what extent FIAM presents ever more innovative challenges in terms of glass processing. The flexible glass adopts curved and sinuous, incredibly fluid shapes. Despite its incredible finesse, Ghost is ultra-resistant (weight supported: 150 Kg). The absolute transparency of the glass allows light and the gaze to filter through. Evanescent, Ghost seems to cancel itself and become a dematerialized element that enriches the environment of its presence without making it dull. The designer Cini Boeri says about Ghost: "I never thought of making a glass armchair one day ... my initial doubt about an idea that seemed unreal was overtaken by the desire / goal to see if it was possible to realize it and if Fiam would have lived up to it ”. Handcrafted in Italy - Maximum supported weight: 150 Kg - Weight of the chair: 36 Kg
