A project to be discovered: it comes from Turin BAAB and bears the signature of Philip Cornaglia, drummer, percussionist and composer and author of music for images, permanently in the studio and live with Niccolò Fabi, Andrea Laszlo DeSimone e White, and Andrea DeCarlo, producer, musician and sound artist, founder of Lab10, recording studio and creative laboratory.
Their research is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and an interest in the sound intended not only as a physical phenomenon but also as a container of meaning. The first single of the project is Work Palace (Stellar), available from June 30. The piece was born from a mixture of arts and disciplines, in a composition inspired by and dedicated to the famous homonymous building designed by Pier Luigi Nervi in 1961 in Turin. The architecture and construction methods become compositional elements; electronics, minimalism and organic rhythms merge with phase shifts, overlaps and dilations of melodic phrases inspired by the early works of Steve Reich.
