This is Denmark, an exhibition dedicated to the essence of Danish design, at Fuorisalone 2023. The event showcased the essence of Danish design, characterized by thoughtful simplicity, care for people and nature, commitment to sustainability, respect for heritage, craftsmanship and an international outlook.
The installation evokes a Danish landscape, inside 15 objects representing the values of contemporary Danish design. These objects have been the protagonists of 15 stories, each a representation of the design spirit of each of the 15 companies participating in the exhibition.
The installation of the exhibition was inspired by the Danish tradition, in particular by nature and its elements, such as wood and water, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere in which the exhibited objects offer a design story to be listened to.
The exhibition, which was held at Alcova, is a project of the Danish Embassy in Italy in collaboration with The Confederation of Danish Industry and Creative Denmark, was curated by two design journalists, Elena Cattaneo and Laura Traldi, and was with the staging by Matteo Ragni Studio.
