Cult goods, known by Alessandra Scarfò Design of Plexiglas and silver jewelry brand, pays homage to Degas! The ad hoc forms designed for temporary exhibitions and commissioned by the publisher Skira resume a theme so dear to Degas: the dance.
E 'a subject that will indelibly mark the Degas career. He was admired by those dancers that illuminated the scene, they were, for him, as stars from which the eye could not break away. He painted them as they were preparing, behind the scenes and during their performances. Degas was in place to best represent the smallest details and that is why his paintings are so beautiful.
"Degas-Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay" is the title of the exhibition, which opened on October 17 (and stage until January 27 2013) in Turin, at the house of the Promoter Society of Fine Arts, an ideal setting for discovering and Degas its role impressionism. The central themes of the artist are the landscape, the female nude, the horses and the famous dancers, including pastels, oils and sculptures. The exhibition is organized by Skira publisher, in collaboration with the Municipality of Turin, curated by Xavier Rey, curator at the Musée d'Orsay and specialist Degas.
