TEMPORARY CULTURAL CENTRES ©
Sustainability, smart city, eco-luxury and tourism design are the keywords of the festival that for this initiative will invite the cities of the world to Florence - the queen of beauty and Italian life style.
Florence Design Week renews its Formats and creates new international axes, with the aim of creating a smart edition, in a virtuous dialogue between cities that combine creativity with business, innovation with tradition and design with everyone's life.
In the sixth edition we dedicate the event to the culture of cities on a human scale, proposing an international city-break with a journey to discover the most creative tourist destinations. We think of the city as culture, architecture, landscapes and infrastructures; but also as a place of services, local productions, communities, places of the imagination, cradle of talents, rituals and traditions and human values. Where creativity draws inspiration, design transforms it into reality at the service of residents, tourists and professionals.
The event was presented in an international scenario at the end of November 2014 in Shenzhen (China) - CITY OF DESIGN UNESCO - within the International Design Festival, together with IDSA (Industrial Design Society of America) and ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design), where a new SINO-EUROPEAN center was inaugurated in November 2014, by FLORENCE DESIGN WEEK.
