Design For 2016, this year Promotedesign.it opens selections for Design For, the catalog book that unites designers and companies and that in 2016 edition will have renewed and increased.
The 2016 edition of Design For will be aimed at the international market: a unique opportunity to promote their ideas and creativity on a large scale. The deadline for submitting applications is set for 30 October 2015.
From 2009 Promotedesign.it works successfully to reduce the distances between designers and producers and the annual publication of Design For is an integral part of its activity to promote young creative people. The book aims to collect the best concept in search of producers and submit them to companies, trying to anticipate the request for creativity coming from the market. A rich collection of projects ready to be realized, presented in a graphic layout and complete with the contacts of those who conceived them.
The Promotedesign.it brand guarantees, both to designers and companies, the competence and authority of those who work for years as a mediator between the two categories. After the success of the past four editions, the last of which was presented during the Din - Design In exhibition, on the occasion of the 2015 Fuorisalone, Design For is preparing to respond to the increase in demand and the needs of a market wider, with an edition full of novelties. One of these is the assignment of Design For Awards, prizes reserved for designers of innovative ideas, and aimed at encouraging creativity and professional growth.
The enthusiasm with which the novelties of the previous edition have been accepted has allowed Promotedesign.it to reconfirm also for Design For 2016 the opening of the selections also to international designers collecting concepts from the five continents and presenting them with texts in Italian and English. The book published again this year by the Logo Fausto Lupetti Editore, now a major partner of the initiative, will then be distributed all over the world: 350 Italian companies will receive the paper book, while 5000 foreign companies and 2000 journalists
receive the digital version.
As with past editions, the book will be presented in Milan during the Salone del Mobile 2016.
The projects received by Promotedesign.it will be selected on the basis of production and use criteria. Ideas that will meet specific market needs will be preferred.
Participation in the selection is open to professional architects and designers, to regularly enrolled students or new graduates at Design Institutes (public and private), Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Design and the like, without age limits.
The theme of the projects is mainly the design product and the volume will be divided into five categories: Design For Furniture, Design For Pet, Design For Textile, Design For Food, Design For Vehicle, Design For Packaging.
Among the participants will be selected the three designers to exhibit for free with their projects at the exhibition Din-Design In that Promotedesign.it will organize during the 2016 Fuorisalone, another twelve will participate in a design workshop, while another eight designers will participate for free of the courses of High Formation and specialization in interiors, organized by POLI.design - Consortium of the Polytechnic of Milan: Design for Wellness & Spa, Temporary Shop & Retail, Hotel Design Solution, Design For Restaurant & Food Retail.
