Design For 2016, once again this year Promotedesign.it opens the selections for Design For, the catalog book that unites designers and companies and which in 2016 will have a renewed and increased edition.
The 2016 edition of Design For will aim at the international market: a unique opportunity for the large-scale promotion of one's ideas and creativity. The deadline for sending applications is set for 30 October 2015.
Since 2009 Promotedesign.it has been working successfully to reduce the distance between designers and producers and the annual publication of Design For is an integral part of its promotion of young creatives. The book aims to collect the best concepts in search of producers and submit them to companies, trying to anticipate the demand for creativity coming from the market. A rich collection of projects ready to be realized, presented in an accurate graphic layout, complete with the contacts of those who created them.
The Promotedesign.it brand guarantees both designers and companies the competence and authority of those who have been working for years as a mediator between the two categories. After the success of the past four editions, the last of which was presented during the Din - Design In exhibition event, on the occasion of the 2015 Fuorisalone, Design For is preparing to respond to the increasing demand and needs of a market broader, with an edition full of novelties. One of these is the assignment of the Design For Awards, prizes reserved for designers of innovative ideas, and aimed at encouraging creativity and professional growth.
The enthusiasm with which the innovations of the previous edition were welcomed allowed Promotedesign.it to reconfirm the opening of the selections to international designers also for Design For 2016, collecting concepts from the five continents and presenting them with texts in Italian and English. The book published also this year by Logo Fausto Lupetti Editore, now a major partner of the initiative, will then be distributed all over the world: 350 Italian companies will receive the paper book, while 5000 foreign companies and 2000 journalists
receive the digital version.
As with past editions, the book will be presented in Milan during the Salone del Mobile 2016.
The projects received by the editorial staff of Promotedesign.it will be selected on the basis of production and use criteria. Ideas that meet specific market needs will be privileged.
Participation in the selection is open to professional architects and designers, to students regularly enrolled or recent graduates at Higher Institutes of Design (public and private), Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Design and the like, without age limits.
The theme of the projects is mainly the design product and the volume will be divided into five categories: Design For Furniture, Design For Pet, Design For Textile, Design For Food, Design For Vehicle, Design For Packaging.
Among the participants, the three designers will be selected to exhibit their projects for free at the Din-Design In exhibition event that Promotedesign.it will organize during the Fuorisalone 2016, another twelve will be able to participate in a design workshop, while another eight designers will participate for free in one of Higher Education and interior specialization courses, organized by POLI.design - Consortium of the Politecnico di Milano: Design For Wellness & Spa, Temporary Shop & Retail, Hotel Design Solution, Design For Restaurant & Food Retail.
