November Rain is a project of Andrea Vecera self-sufficient for a tomb, which recovers the water and also used to generate electricity to power an LED.
Water is life; retrieve, store and reuse is a noble gesture that every human being should make their own. Many individuals will continue to do good "post-mortem" and who has never worried he will from beyond. November Rain is a synthesis of concepts on the value of water; the sacredness celebrated dall'impluvium, a cross between a cup and a basin for holy water; light a light making "alive" the soul of the benefactor through the water itself, and the rite dell'abbeverare a living being. Grave of self that ennobles the soul, consecrates the role of water and makes hope alive.
Technology and materials.
The impluvium and the base are obtained by rotational molding and thermoforming Cristaplant, a composite material formed by a high percentage of natural minerals (ATH detivate from bauxite) and a low percentage of polyester and acrylic polymers of high purity; thus it is an inert, non-toxic and resistant. The main stand is made of Carrara marble. The power of the LED is done through a mechanism which in contact with water generates electricity at low voltage, such as AA batteries of new generation. The rainwater remains inside a tank with siphon which avoids evaporation and the proliferation of mosquitoes. Distribution is through a tap with a button, you can deliver the water in the tank without any mechanism, as the water falls by gravity, also there is a slight slope that allows water to go down to the last drop.
Suggestions and design ethics in the care of the details.
November Rain is born, for its formal aspect, from the concept of "Altar", iconography sought to link the sacredness of a natural element like water that comes from heaven. The impluvium has the function of collecting rain water can and most connservarla inside. Inspired by a glass to enhance the sacredness of the content. The luminary is a drop, icon of rain and water, with water-powered LED. The raindrops that fall into a body of water, generate concentric circles, the drawing from it can perform very specific functions.
