Food Culture & Slow Art

The art that is the taste

Through this art event, it is intended to tell the food culture associated with healthy food and to eat well.

Slow food, slow walking, slow living, recovering a renewed focus on gestures and values overwhelmed since hyperactive consumer society.

Food Culture & Slow Art | The art that represents taste, in its essence, will be a journey through the sensations created by "visual signs" and "taste", recognized as cultural and creative heritage.

With the cooperation of the artists invited to participate, it will be dealt with the theme of food; it is called the "nourishment" not only in terms of staff, but also in terms of ethical, social and intellectual education to food and to food, borrowed from the artistic representation.

The decision to intervene in the debate on the issues of awareness comes from the analysis of the broad spectrum of content that we have faced and that we will face in the future, we believe that artistic action will contribute to increase the knowledge and awareness of this emergency, be addressed at the level of a global awareness.

Urgencies in terms of food and nutrition should have a prominent place in the choices of governments, international institutions, and not least at the level of local communities. In recent years the debate around food has reached a considerable degree of public involvement. And the art world, who always keeps and often anticipates trends aesthetic and cultural, he has paid great attention to the world of food, showing creativity, curiosity and great capacity to make proposals.

The act of eating in a human community evolved not only meets the biological need to feed themselves and feed themselves, buy quite a cultural significance: eat, select and moderate consumption, respecting the planet and its resources.

Moving from artistic reflection, we arrive at investigating a concrete dimension that is illuminated by anthropological aspects, as the reality of man as such, as a fact that concerns us all, absolutely everyone.
