The W. seating family is the result of a design paradigm, the one that says that “subtraction adds value”: “less is more”.
The novelty presented at the 2015 edition of the Salone del Mobile is the W. 603 and W. 604, presented in the lounge or rocking version.
The elegantly minimal essence of the individual elements contrasts with the majesty of the materiality of the wood, available in both the natural and lacquered versions and in different colors. It is shaped with careful control of thicknesses, inclinations and relationships between the parts, until a balanced and harmonious design is obtained.
Through the reinterpretation of what is perhaps the most widespread type of chair in the history of design, the Windsor Chair, the designer Fabrizio Gallinaro wanted to give it a contemporary image.
Chair or stool, lounge or rocking chair the proposed variants. The tangible result in each of them is a chair characterized by a strong historicity but, at the same time, shows a look of absolute modernity.
