Incarnation of the modern style of the 30s-50s, an icon of industrial aesthetics for more than a century, the high stool H by Tolix has crossed epochs and styles to become a classic inscribed in the collective memory, a "living heritage" expression of the French art of living… The high stool “H” stands out for its solidity, its great lightness and its minimal aesthetics. The stool has marked the history of design. Its designer, Xavier Pauchard, used deep drawn sheet steel and zinc for the first time in the production of limited series furniture. The high stool Tolix thus becomes the first French industry. Each stool that comes out of the ateliers is unique and features the Tolix signature stamped into the metal. It is with genuine recognition that Tolix received in 2006 the label of “Company of the living heritage” conferred by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry. This version of the “H” high stool enhances the natural beauty of metal. It is made of raw steel sheet with a dark clear coat. It is used only indoors.
