Description

Designed by Tolix since the 30s for industry and all public and private premises, the valve filing cabinet has crossed eras and styles to become a classic inscribed in the collective memory. Over the years, it has gradually “tamed itself” to obtain “citizenship” in the private sphere, while maintaining its status as an icon of industrial design. Incarnation of the modern style of the 30-50s, this piece of furniture stands out for its solidity and its great lightness. Very functional, it is equipped with 5 lockers of which each valve opens at 180 °. The doors open with a simple push and close magnetically. Symbolic and democratic, the Tolix metal furniture marks a significant milestone in the history of design. The credit goes to designer Xavier Pauchard who first used stamped sheet metal and zinc for the production of mass-produced furniture. Today, the company has acquired high-performance digital machines that accompany many manual operations and tooling inherited from history. Each element that comes out of the atelier is unique and bears the Tolix signature engraved in the metal. It is with genuine recognition that Tolix received in 2006 the label of “Company of the living heritage” conferred by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry. The valve filing cabinet is available in two other versions: 3 and 10 lockers. Opening of the 180 ° opening doors - Opening the filing cabinets with a simple push - Magnetic closure - Optional wheels
