Description

Infinitely stackable, this armchair has a rounded and well-sculpted seat, whose corolla shape is clearly inspired by nature. An apparently simple geometry, obtained thanks to a complex manufacturing process, entirely generated by digital data. This deep drawing technology, generally used by the automotive industry, allows to obtain a seat in pressed aluminum sheet, ultra fine and light, which guarantees the same resistance as steel. This filigree structure, divided into several symmetrical parts, is inspired by the shape of diatoms, the unicellular algae that make up plankton and play an important role in the life of the marine ecosystem. Diatom perfectly illustrates the work of Ross Lovegrove, a great exponent of organic design. The British designer uses innovative digital technology to reproduce the fluid shapes and changing lines of nature. Stackable indefinitely
