Description

Designed in 1987 by Cini Boeri, the Ghost armchair has become a classic of contemporary design exhibited in the most prestigious museums in the world. True technical success, the Ghost armchair is made of a single element of curved glass with a thin thickness (only 12 mm). The glass armchair is cut and folded like a giant origami. Combining excellent craftsmanship know-how with innovative technology, Ghost shows at what point FIAM presents increasingly innovative challenges in terms of glass processing. The glass made flexible adopts curved and sinuous shapes, incredibly fluid. Despite its incredible fineness, Ghost is ultra resistant (supported weight: 150 Kg). The absolute transparency of the glass lets the light and the gaze filter through. Evanescent, Ghost seems to cancel itself out and become a dematerialized element that enriches the environment with its presence without weighing it down. The designer Cini Boeri declares about Ghost: "I never thought of one day making a glass armchair ... my initial doubt about an idea that seemed unreal was overcome by the desire / objective to see if it was possible to realize it and if Fiam would have been up to making it happen ”. Handcrafted in Italy - Maximum weight supported: 150 Kg - Weight of the chair: 36 Kg
