Description

UAIGONG CUCU, is an innovative wall cuckoo designed by Davide Tonizzo. The designer wanted to create a cultural bridge between two countries with a strong history in craftsmanship: China and Italy. Wàigong is the Mandarin word for grandfather on the mother's side. This clock revisits the floor clock or “grandfather” (grandfather) in a modern way. The fusion of the two styles can be found in the red and gold colors, typical of Chinese culture, in the very essential form that recalls the Italian design and the name which is the Italian pronunciation of the word in Mandarin. The battery-powered cuckoo movement has a photosensitive sensor that does not make it sing when it is dark and a push-button panel allows you to adjust the intensity of the sound or turn it off completely. Produced by Progetti Srl company of Made in Italy design complements.
