Description

To create the Tatou collection, Patricia Urquiola was inspired by Japanese armor: a set of metal buckles carefully tied with ribbons. This construction has been simplified to give life to a line of lampshades in three dimensions, mass-produced but with a strong artisan imprint. The name "Tatou" (which means armadillo in French) was chosen by Patricia Urquiola thinking of the animal known for its skin with overlapping plates. The lampshade of the Tatou collection plays on an effect of full and empty, transparency and opacity. Perforated, it emits a direct light, oriented both downwards and upwards, casting delicate shadows on the ground and on the wall. Polycarbonate and methacrylate were selected for their great interaction with light. The result of extensive research, these carefully reprocessed polymers acquire a precious appearance and extraordinary brilliance. This Tatou table lamp (H 50 cm) is available in white, black and gray-ocher. You have the possibility to modulate the intensity of the light thanks to a dimmer positioned on the cable. The Tatou collection includes two suspensions (Ø 28 and 50 cm), a table lamp and a chandelier. Halogen bulb (not supplied): 1 x 60W max G9 ES - Power cable: L 150 cm - Electronic dimmer on cable to adjust the light intensity
