Description

The iconic Taccia lamp is now available with a PMMA (plastic) diffuser for greater strength and lightness. At the origin of the project in the 1958, Taccia was in transparent plastic, then the idea was abandoned due to the deformations caused by the heat emitted by the bulb. This is how Flos in the 1962 produced it with a famous blown glass cup. Today, thanks to the new LED lighting, it is possible to choose the Taccia lamp in a version faithful to the original concept. Designed by the Castiglioni brothers, the Taccia lamp is part of the great classics in terms of lighting. Comes out of the Flos atelier in 1962 and resembles a large projector. Taccia celebrates industrial design dear to our two Italian designers. This lamp is composed of a base in striated aluminum on which there is a deep transparent plastic bell. A painted aluminum disc covers the bell and acts as a reflective screen for the bulb hidden in the lamp body. Taccia diffuses a high quality indirect light, which can be oriented from top to bottom. A true icon of design, the aesthetic qualities of Taccia persist: resting on a piece of furniture or even on the ground, it gives a truly avant-garde loft style. Achille Castiglioni said of Taccia in the 1970 that represented "the Mercedes of the lamps, a symbol of success: perhaps because it remembers a classic column". Adjustable diffuser - Indirect and reflected light - Integrated LED source (not replaceable): 1 COB LED 2700K 2068 LM CRI 93 - 28W - Variator
