Precious and refined, this suspension of spectacular dimensions furnishes the space with a spectacular presence. The Machine of Light pendant reproduces the warm and golden light of the sun, of fire… It derives from a remarkable craftsmanship on the material. It consists of several overlapping aluminum discs entirely covered with hand applied gold sheets. This meticulous work creates a beautiful irregular texture that plays with reflections and light. The LED sources are placed above the discs. The emitted light is directed upwards then reflected on the upper disk. The roughness of the material allows an excellent diffusion of light. The light with golden reflections is alive, warm and relaxing. The discs are mounted on three long nickel-plated metal stems (H 145 cm). Catellani & Smith's production is mainly artisanal. These lamps are hand made by different craftsmen. Each lamp is subjected to a strict control that guarantees quality.
