On the occasion of the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile, LAGO presents a preview of the collaboration with Monica Armani, one of the important references in the sector. Inspired by the history of Venice, the collection will introduce new proposals for sofas, tables, chairs and armchairs that will give new life to innovation and quality timeless of the company's furnishings.

Venice has based its flourishing history on the meeting and dialogue between cultures, a centuries-old hub for the trade of splendid proverbial manufactured objects: a strong international vocation for meeting today more than ever to be rediscovered. Monica Armani, starting from these considerations, has given life to a new series of LAGO products designed to become protagonists of contemporary living all over the world and to be, just like the Serene, timeless.

Some pieces from the collection will be exhibited at the LAGO stand at the Salone del Mobile (PAD. 24 E11-F06), while the complete collection will be presented in Casa LAGO during the days of Design Week.

“For this edition of the Salone del Mobile we have decided to open ourselves even more to the meeting and contamination of souls and cultures. Among the various designers with whom we are collaborating, we have chosen Monica Armani to create an entire collection inspired by Venice - declares Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design of LAGO Spa - We were inspired by the history of this city, for centuries a crossroads of peoples, people and worldviews. With Monica Armani we immediately found many points in common on the way of understanding design. This is how, naturally, products intended for all areas of the home were born which we are happy to be able to present on the stand and in Casa LAGO during the Design Week".

The ALTANA sofa offers a modular padded system, with a precise and elegant architecture that is inspired by the altanas, the typical terraces characteristic of Venetian roofs, protected places for meeting and relaxing. Characterized by taut, tapered lines and overhanging volumes, the sofa is light and linear, with visually soft cushions designed to offer optimal comfort thanks to the quality of the materials used. The detail of the floor supports, with an ovaloid section, intersects at 45° with the padded and inclined profile of the bases, while the seat cushions and backrests rest on the platforms in a play of volumes. The novelty and distinctive feature of the product are the wooden legs, available both in different ash shades and in new lacquered colours, capable of adding a material touch and combining with fabrics and other accessories from the LAGO world, generating interesting interior solutions.
