The wooden floors Biscuit, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Listone Giordano, after thepreview during the Salone del Mobile 2015 they were presented for the first time in an exhibition context, at Cersaie 2015.

The Biscuit collection of wooden floors rediscovers their natural decorative vocation for wooden floors and gives the material a more sinuous configuration.

In fact, Biscuit was born from an in-depth analysis of traditional parquet laying systems and becomes an ideal link between the historical heritage and contemporary style.

The end of the strips is imagined as a rounded profile and therefore modifies the usual linear character of the module, giving it a strong personality. The result is multiple versions of parquet, each of which refers to a different language but with an absolutely current cutting value.

Inlay, mosaic, herringbone, regular formwork: whatever the installation chosen, Biscuit makes wooden floors look like a fabric rich in intertwining and overlapping. The fluid shape is also accentuated by the running camber, which traces the surface of the plank giving a sense of further softness to the natural material.

A design story of a living and changing material that has been able to accompany the evolution of living over the millennia is the one staged at the Listone Giordano stand at Cersaie 2015. Wood as a support surface, as a covering, as furniture for our daily activities: the space of over 150 square meters designed by Marco Tortioli Ricci of the graphic studio BCPT, tells of the Umbrian company and its absolutely unique approach to the theme of wood.
