Milan Design Week 2023 is preparing to welcome a major collaboration between the Maison Matisse and the British artist and designer Faye Toogood. The creative concept of the furniture collection collection sketches, of which we offer a preview, is inspired by the technique of drawing in black ink on white paper, present in the publication by Henri Matisse "Dessins: Thèmes et Variations".

Toogood, famous for her playful and experimental creativity in form and geometry, has decided to pay homage to the originality and freedom expressed in Matisse's drawings. In particular, the artist focused on the purity of the French artist's book of ink drawings, using these creative cues for her first collaboration with Maison Matisse.

The result is a collection of furniture for the living room or bedroom, characterized by a strong personality and, at the same time, by the softness of the strokes of the ink drawing. The collection sketches is the result of a perfect fusion between the creative vision of Faye Toogood and the artistic flair of Matisse, a winning combination that will give life to unique and exclusive design pieces.

Milan Design Week 2023 represents the ideal context for the presentation of the collection, an event that represents an important opportunity for design enthusiasts, insiders and the curious from all over the world to discover and appreciate creative and artistic excellence of this partnership between Maison Matisse and Faye Toogood.
