The Janeiro table designed by Bartoli Design for LAKE, was selected by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory for publication in the ADI Design Index 2020, the first volume of the two-year cycle that collects the products pre-selected for the Award Compasso d'Oro ADI 2022.

This is the first product designed by Bartoli Design for LAGO, an Italian design company that produces furniture for all areas of living: a new collaboration, a new challenge that the architects have accepted with enthusiasm, respecting the peculiarities of the Venetian brand and which immediately led to this important recognition.
The design company has entrusted the Studio with the design of a well-known accessory, as it has been developed over the years, which has distinguished them for functional and quality models, lasting over time.

The Janeiro table interprets and combines the soul of LAGO and that of Bartoli Design: the unconventional spirit, the rigorous attitude of geometries with solid materials, the need to respond to the demand for products with a strong language with a contemporary attitude. Here is Janeiro, a table characterized by a refined game of balance, volumes and materials. La base it consists of the meeting of two dome-shaped solids, placed one above the other in perfect balance to support the top, made of clear and smoked glass, to reveal the peculiarity of the base. The latter, light and delicate in the meeting of the two solids, is also stable and material thanks to the molded concrete with which it is made. The through structure, connecting the base and the top, is in steel. The tops they can be circular, oval or rectangular in shape.

As Bartoli Design explains: “The Janeiro system of tables was born from the suggestion of a rocky monolith like the 'Sugar Loaf' promontory, symbol of the Brazilian metropolis of the same name. The base of the table, in concrete, embodies the straightforward and material approach and the idea of the stone monolith. Looking at Janeiro, one has the illusion that the top is in magical balance at the top of the base ”.

"We are happy with this recognition that came from the first collaboration with Bartoli Design - declares Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design of LAGO SpA - With Janeiro we have added another timeless material to our collection such as masterfully molded concrete for this table ”.
