Italian design is the star of a new exhibition at the ADI Design Museum. It is the exhibition "Italy: A New Collective Landscape” which presents the works of young designers under 35 who have taken on the challenge of facing current global, ecological and social problems.

The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on April 3 on the occasion of the next edition of the Salone del Mobile, is curated by Angela Rui, with Elisabetta Donati de Conti and Matilde Losi, and has the graphic design by Alice Zani with Paola Bombelli and the staging of the Parasite 2.0 study. The selection of young designers was made through an open call in which over three hundred designers took part.

The exhibition develops around the projects, products and new practices of designers who are committed to tackling the challenges of the climate crisis and the consequences this has on reality. It is an exhibition-program that aims to highlight the political dimension of design and its role as a transitional tool and bridge between the worlds of culture, science and industry.

The exhibition begins with a focus on the domestic dimension and on the objects that build it, and then explores the various chosen themes, such as regenerative design, relational design and systemic design. The exhibition space is conceived as inclusive, traversable, fluid and active, and the objects are enriched by materials of investigation, research and prototyping.

Furthermore, the exhibition includes workshops, readings and screenings, as well as participatory sessions, which give life to a dedicated public program.

The exhibition was created thanks to the sponsorship of Intesa San Paolo and the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation.

"Italy: A New Collective Landscape" wants to represent the Italian creative context that is trying to redefine the role of design, imagining new design tools not only in relation to the industrial world but as new production factories, where design becomes a transition tool and bridge between the worlds of culture, science and industry.
