Alê Jordão arrives at the Salone del Mobile 2022, from 7 to 12 June, in triple dose. The plastic artist will “furnish” one of the most important common spaces in Milan with his sculpture-furniture - benches and chairs - made of recycled metal nets, normally used to channel the traffic of the city. Eclectic and irreverent, the Brazilian presents his Bullet Proof armchair to the Paola Colombari Gallery and its iconic Fusca chair, created from the scraps of an old Beetle, which will be exhibited at the permanent exhibition of the Salone Satellite Cadeira where, in 2001, it was awarded.

ConectART- GuardRail installation
Corso Garibaldi and Via della Moscova - open 24 hours

The artistic intervention "ConectART - Guard Rail" proposes the transformation of a square in Milan - between Corso Garibaldi and Via della Moscova - through the installation of street furniture made by the artist from São
Paulo Alê Jordão. It is about furniture-sculpture made by recycling the metal nets normally used to channel traffic and here declined in benches and seats, inspiration for new pieces of urban furniture.

“They are perfect creations for outdoor spaces such as gardens, squares and parks, but this does not exclude the possibility of using them also indoors. More than a piece of furniture, it is a design object, a sculpture ".

In addition, the installation includes a totem for recharging mobile phones that refers to the external environment and nature by virtue of its birdhouse shape: an invitation to the public to take a break in the square and thus occupy that space, immersing themselves in art.
