Alessandro Zambelli presents a preview of the “musical” DINN clock for Diamantini & Domeniconi at Maison et Objet.
The new piece of furniture designed by the designer reveals a minimal nature and - inside - a precious and "tinkling" heart: made of lacquered MDF, it is available in white and light oak colors.
A round, minimal dial, with an almost extreme essentiality inside, a brilliant touch of originality captures all the attention on itself: the unexpected presence of a brass bell - in sharp contrast to the surface of the watch - stands out visually as a precious detail, as well as a “jangling” heart of the object.
With an equally strong visual impact, the hands of the watch - made of anthracite-colored aluminum - appear fundamental for the peculiarity of its operation. The minute hand is characterized in fact by the presence of a final hammer which, at the stroke of each hour, comes into contact with the bell clapper: the latter, by swinging, makes it ring. These are the essential characteristics of DINN.
