Ethics, circularity, domestic space, participatory architecture, urban regeneration: there are many suggestions and reflections from which it arises Design with Nature, a design and emotional path in the name of recycling andupcycling, which stages the possible reconciliation between man and nature, joining the debate on the value of sustainable living.

Firsta edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano will investigate, once again, the relationship between nature and living with an important exhibition-installation that will offer food for thought for the future of design practice. From 7 to 12 June, pavilion 15 of S.Project will host "Design with Nature": a project developed together with the architect Mario Cucinella, who thinks about the themes of the circular economy and reuse, starting from the idea that the city is the possible “reserve” of the future, where to find most of the raw materials useful for construction. In this perspective, urban areas become, in fact, a new opportunity for
reduce the environmental impact.

There are three themes of which the installation is the bearer: the ecological transition, the house as the first urban piece and the city as a mine, spread over a large surface that becomes a landscape and, at the same time, a refuge for dialogue, sharing, reading, reflecting, working.

A large table because, after the events of recent years, we have rediscovered the value of sociality which, however, must find a new balance with what surrounds us, both with the spaces we live and the territories we occupy - on a small scale (from the house to the city) and on a large scale (planet) - both with the resources we have. Hence, the vision of an ecosystem, which is thus described by the founding architect and artistic director of Mario Cucinella Architects: “A large space attentive to design and the environment, dedicated to the new sociality. An installation in which the term “ecosystem” is fundamental and with
which we want to tell how the vision of the future must be ecosystemic and know how to connect knowledge, skills and technologies in a new generation of materials and design. The "ecosystem knowledge", if we can call it that, will have the final and unitary purpose of improving life through a newfound respect for nature "
.

Just as everything that is part of nature is transformed, has more functions and more lives, the same happens for the parts that make up "Design with Nature", a puzzle of forms and functions, which, once the Salone del Mobile is over, will live a new life and have new destinations: a small library for a school, a didactic room, a seat for a public space, a table for a laboratory…. The materials of this architectural structure will derive from natural supply chains - demonstrating that the ecological transition is already underway and that companies can be protagonists of this change - or from transformed and reused waste. Of the latter the cities are rich, real reserves of resources and materials that can be recovered through circular processes.

“Design with Nature” will therefore demonstrate that we can imagine another way of building and manufacturing products in complicity with nature, without continuing to consume raw materials but activating virtuous ecological paths. Working with nature we will find a new, fundamental and vital friendship with it.

Design with Nature. For new materials. For a new habitat. For a better city.
