Debuted at Caravan Salon 2019 in Düsseldorf, the concept Hymer VisionVenture, which with a different and more emotional approach tries to explore the future of the camper van more precisely, in the year 2025.

Based on the latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4X4, the VisionVenture concept offers a futuristic design, a tailgate that acts as a terrace, a folding roof with inflatable walls and a bathroom with modular dimensions according to use. To further optimize the proportions of the Sprinter chassis, Hymer redesigned the A-pillars, hood and windshield of the base vehicle.

Hymer partnered with BASF for this concept and BASF provided further 20 innovative materials used in the camper. Some of these materials help maintain a comfortable vehicle temperature by reducing the external surface temperature and keeping the interior temperature constant. Some exterior parts of the camper van, such as the wheel arches, are 3D printed.

Despite its size, the camper it can only accommodate two adults in a two-story apartment with an inflatable pop-up roof, which has about 7cm thick walls for better insulation. The upper area can be reached via the stairs and on the upper floor there is a section that opens and forms a small balcony. To optimize space, the steps of the staircase were used to create stowage spaces, a solution that is often found in Tiny Houses

The concept as it is will not go into production, but Hymer plans to use some of its solutions in its future camper vans.
