Meeting table, a unique piece designed by studio Francesco Meneghello and made by Venetian artisans in solid wood recovered from the iconic ones briccole Venice.

During 6 edition of Venice Design Week, the latest project commissioned by private individuals to the Francesco Meneghello studio will be present at the “Feles in Fabula” exhibition, curated by the architect Magda of Siena.

It is a Living table that will be inserted inside a Venetian villa at the foot of Mount Grappa, and made of solid recovery.

Key material of this product are the iconic briccole of Venice, which, once consumed by water and shellfish of the lagoon are extracted, dried and separated into plates. Then they have signs of wear unique in its kind, making it particularly every product made.

To support the upper floor there is a basis in natural iron color formed by plates of different thickness joined together by welding at sight.

To complete the design head of the trunk of oak, very essence of mooring posts, but it proposed a second horizontal cut of the plant.

The table was made in collaboration with local craftsmen, who were able to interpret, with the generational experience that distinguish them, the project design, getting together with Francesco Meneghello during all phases of the project.

The name chosen for this unique piece is Meeting, act to praise precisely the encounter between poor materials and recycled making them coexist harmoniously and risaltandone the different material properties and especially the meeting of people who gather around.

The exhibition will take place in the historic building Papafava in Cannaregio, Venice from 3 all'11 October.
