Children's clothing store set up as if it were a game

Children's clothing store set up as if it were a game it has been modified: 2021-06-29 di Benedetto Fiori

It was a sad and empty place turned into a large bright and dynamically set up space, how a space for children should be. At the first contact with the building it was found a place too wild in terms of space distribution.

As if it were a game ... so a new project started!

Despite the client's request for an open space, the intention was to create a sense of exploration while walking in space, as if it were a labyrinth, like a children's game. Hence the realization of the wire mesh, which creates a physical but not visual barrier, thus satisfying the client's premises.

In addition to the area dedicated to the display and storage of objects, the ground floor includes an office and a small closet. When you enter the upper floor, there is a studio for product photography. This area has been divided into two spaces with a glass system, designed to expand the space.

The materials used have been selected in such a way that their use is unique, without the need for adjacent layers and finishes with other products. For the internal walls, the alveolar polycarbonate he suggests was chosen an industrial look in harmony with the floor covered in microcement.

To counterbalance this, the ceilings and office were clad with birch plywood, creating amore intimate atmosphere. This note has a regular metric that allows both to create the rhythm and to guide the organization of space, such as the arrangement of furniture.

A small area dedicated to children has been created next to the stairs on the upper floor. This playful space it has been covered in polycarbonate and with a double height, from which the lights descend. The lights reflected in the polycarbonate allude to a world of magic, imagination and creativity. The industrial style pendant light is specially designed for the place.
